Obama Steals the Census in Political Move

POLITICS-US-OBAMA-GREGG

We like Senator Gregg. He’s our Senator. He supported Mitt Romney. But his appointment at Commerce has resulted in an outrageous political power grab that is unprecedented. If Republicans attempted such a move there would be howls of protest from the media.

Because the Black Caucus and Hispanic special interest groups are worried about Gregg’s support of the census, the White House is putting the census under White House jurisdiction. This ensures the White House will be able to manipulate the census for political reasons. This is an unprecedented power grab that has long-term effect on reapportionment. Obviously, winning the majority isn’t good enough, now Obama and his liberal allies want to cement that majority by manipulating the census.

The census — which under law is conducted by the Commerce Department — will now be in the hands of Rahm Emanuel who is a partisan White House COS. He previously headed up the DCCC, and definitely has interest in using the census to manipulate seats into the “D” column.

House Republicans did fire off a letter to President Obama on Thursday, but the controversy has garnered little outrage from the good government types in the media.

Any attempt by the Obama administration to circumvent the census process for their political benefit will be met with fierce opposition as this ill-conceived proposal undermines a constitutionally obligated process that speaks to the very heart of our democracy,” said California Rep. Darrell Issa, the top Republican on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

LET’S HOPE SO!
