Senator Gregg is a man of integrity and class. His withdrawal is sure to bring howls of protest from the liberals in the Obama administration about how he was too conservative and he should have decided before he accepted that he couldn’t defend Obama policies.
But that’s not the real reason . . .
Gregg accepted thinking Obama was serious about bi-partisanship — which by now we all know isn’t true. And before Gregg was even approved, the White House was undermining him and playing politics by stripping the census from Commerce and putting it under the partisan COS Emanuel. Gregg is too much a man of integrity to put up with that, so he graciously pulled out citing “irresolvable conflicts” on policies. We appreciate that kind of class and integrity and feel much better with him as our Senator.
